I have designed this site as a tribute to the memory of my uncle,  Sol James Horowitz
who served during World War II  in the 9th Infantry Division 
 and as a First Lieutenant  in the 44th Division, 
Anti Tank Company of the 114th Infantry
in France,  Germany, and Austria. 
He was 18 years of age when he enlisted in the service and 
he was my hero.
